Two friends.
One obsession.
What started as a shared love for morning coffee turned into a years-long journey across coffee-growing regions — searching for the most extraordinary beans on the planet. Roastera is the result of that search.
Mehmet & Fuad
We met at university in Istanbul, bonding over late-night study sessions fuelled by bad vending-machine coffee. That shared frustration planted a seed: why was it so hard to find a genuinely great cup?
After years of drinking our way through cafés across Europe and visiting farms in East Africa and South America, we realised the answer wasn't complicated. It came down to one thing: source better, roast with care, and never compromise on quality.
In 2022 we stopped talking about it and started doing it. Roastera was born in İstanbul — a small operation with a big appetite for flavour.
Where our
coffees come from
Every origin we carry was chosen after tasting dozens of lots in person. We only bring back what genuinely moved us — coffees with a story, a place, and a character you can taste in the cup.
Chapadão de Ferro Natural
The Cerrado plateau sits at 1,100 m altitude, where dry winds and long sunny days create perfect conditions for natural processing. We visited this farm during harvest and were floored by the depth of fruit in the green beans.
- Dark chocolate & dried fruit
- Smooth, full body
- Natural process
Condor
The Condor lot comes from a cooperative of smallholder farmers in the Colombian highlands. The cool nights and rich volcanic soil produce a cup of unusual clarity — bright, clean, and endlessly drinkable.
- Red apple & caramel
- Delicate floral finish
- Washed process
Uganda
Uganda is one of Africa's best-kept coffee secrets. We found this lot through a local exporter who works directly with mountain farmers near Mount Elgon. Bold and wine-like, it stops you in your tracks.
- Dark berries & brown sugar
- Wine-like depth
- Natural process
Ethiopia
No origin list is complete without Ethiopia — the country where coffee was born. Our lot comes from a washing station in the Yirgacheffe region, known for producing some of the world's most aromatic and complex coffees.
- Jasmine, strawberry & peach
- Bright & aromatic
- Natural process
Our principles
Two people, a small team, and a set of rules we refuse to break — no matter how much it would simplify things.
Single origin, always
We don't blend. Every bag traces back to a single farm or cooperative, so you always know exactly what you're drinking and where it came from.
We travel to source
We don't buy from catalogues. Mehmet and Fuad travel to origin to cup lots in person, meet the farmers, and choose only what they'd be proud to put their name on.
Fair prices up the chain
We pay above Fair Trade prices at every origin. The farmers growing our coffee deserve to be rewarded for the care they put into their work.
Taste what we found.
Every origin is available in 250g, 500g and 1 kg. Order online, delivered to your door.
